The Government is aware about the need of sustainability in the textile sector and has adopted an integrated approach involving all stakeholders. The ministry has accordingly established an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Task Force on 20.07.2023 to drive discussions and implement initiatives aimed at promoting ESG principles in a coherent manner. The task force met on 22.08.2023, 17.11.2023 and 22.05.2024. The minutes of these meetings are as under:
